We are all not living in a best case scenario or rather in an optimal and perfect environment. Especially when you are traveling, on the road or just on a long hike we want to keep our carried baggage as light as possible, right?! Furthermore if you are also an enthusiastic photographer you need anyhow to consider a couple of additional equipment like lenses, tripod, filters, battery, etc. - wow, that is crazy ... and finally a heavy high performance laptop to edit and post process all your captured images in the field. The great thing is that mobile phones and apps are getting pretty powerful these days with regard to performance and quality. For a long time, editing images on my phone was a laborious process that required me to use multiple apps for different effects, depending on what I was trying to achieve. Until I found this amazing app ... yep, I am talking about "Snapseed" which changed completely my way of editing on the phone.

You may be wondering what makes Snapseed so valuable. Well, there are a few reasons ... first of all, it is very intuitive to use. It also supports a ton of functions, from cropping to highly selective adjustment like brightness, contrast and saturation, and, and, and. One professional feature is also the capability to read and edit RAW files, meaning you can recover more highlight and shadow information compared to a JPEG files... and guys, we are still talking here about a phone! Enough said - I have prepared a short video as an inspiration how I use Snapseed for editing and post processing On-The-GO! That's one of my workflow and approach when I take pictures with my phone for example or rather import the RAW files from my DSLR camera directly to my phone.
